The Retail Surcharge (WKZ) is automatically calculated when the actual profit of a transaction falls below the agreed minimum margin, which is defined based on the initial purchase price calculation.

It ensures that SPACEGOATS maintains a minimum level of profitability, even when there are deviations from the assumed values.

In short: The WKZ only applies when unexpected costs arise that are no longer covered by the risk margin or purchase price.

When does the Retail Surcharge apply?

The WKZ is automatically applied by the Galaxy software whenever the actual profit of a transaction is lower than the calculated minimum margin.

This can happen, for example, if:

How is the WKZ calculated?

The calculation is done per transaction, automatically within Galaxy:

  1. Amazon payout amount

= Gross revenue – VAT – Amazon fees – FBA fees

  2. Actual profit

= Amazon payout amount – net purchase price

  3. Comparison with required margin

If actual profit < required margin → WKZ applies.

  4. WKZ amount

= Difference between actual profit and required margin

💡 Example:

If the calculated margin should be €1.21 but the actual profit is only €0.98, a WKZ of –€0.23 is applied.
