What are remissions?

Remissions are products that can no longer be resold, typically originating from customer returns that Amazon has processed.

While returns are items that can often be resold after inspection, remissions are items that are damaged, defective, or otherwise not suitable for resale.

What happens with resellable returns?

When an end customer exercises their right of withdrawal or reports a product defect, SPACEGOATS reviews the condition of the returned items:


How does SPACEGOATS handle remissions?

According to the framework agreement, SPACEGOATS has three options for dealing with remissions:

  1. Return to the vendor:

    The vendor may request in writing, within 30 calendar days after notification, that the affected products be returned.

  2. Destruction of the products:

    If no return is requested, SPACEGOATS may dispose of or arrange for the disposal of the items in accordance with Amazon’s conditions.

  3. Resale at residual value:

    Alternatively, SPACEGOATS may resell the products to third parties at their residual value.

How are remissions handled if an invoice was already issued upon delivery?

If a purchase invoice was already issued when the goods were delivered, SPACEGOATS treats the products as if they had been sold.

In the case of a remission, SPACEGOATS will therefore charge the vendor for:

  1. the purchase price of the affected products,
  2. the remission costs (depending on whether Amazon destroys, returns, or resells the products), and
