Proper packaging ensures fast processing and helps reduce additional fees.
Why packaging guidelines matter
- Prevents rejections, returns, and repackaging fees
- Ensures safe storage and transport of products
General requirements
- Clear FNSKU for each product variant (size, color, condition)
- Barcodes must be visible and scannable on the outside — do not place them over edges or curves
- All other barcodes on outer packaging must be covered or rendered unreadable
Packaging for specific product types
- Products sold as a set:
- Clearly label (“Sold as set,” “Do not separate”)
- Use a unique ASIN for the set
- Cover individual barcodes of items within the set
- Units packed in boxes:
- Use a sturdy, six-sided cardboard box
- Lids and openings must be securely sealed
- Must pass a drop test from 125 cm
- Units packed in poly bags:
- Transparent bag, at least 0.0254 mm thick
- Fully sealed with a maximum flap overlap of 7.5 cm
- Barcode must be scannable through the bag or attached externally
Single-SKU cartons
- Same SKU, condition, and quantity per carton (max. 150 units)
- No barcodes on the outer carton — only on individual units

Products with expiration dates
- Expiration date format: DD-MM-YYYY or MM-YYYY
- Clearly printed on both individual units and outer packaging (minimum 36 pt font size)
- Must be easily accessible during check-in
